A&DB Legal Alcocer | Diaz Barreiro is a law firm that emerged from the union of two founding partners, Mr. Luis Alcocer Chauvet and Mrs. Maria Fernanda Diaz Barreiro Robinson; the first, partner for more than 15 years un one of the most prestigious law firms in Los Cabos in Real Estate and corporate matters, offering high quality services to developers, hotels, condominiums, companies and buyers of high value real estate, mainly in the Los Cabos area; and the latter, founding partner of her own law firm 7 years ago in Mexico City, specialized in high-quality corporate, financial and real estate legal services aimed at entrepreneurs, commercial, financial and service companies and government agencies.

LUIS ALCOCER CHAUVET
Luis has a law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) Mexico City (1994). His professional thesis “Resolution of Disputes in Private International Trade” received an honorific mention. Luis has three specialization diplomas from Universidad Panamericana, Mexico City: (i) Corporate Law (ii) International Commercial and Financial Law, (iii) Commercial Law, and diplomas in “Due Diligence” and “Tax Law” granted by the National Association of Company Lawyers (ANADE).
Luis is originally from Mexico City where he began his professional practice more than 30 years ago, having participated as an associate attorney in several prestigious international law firms in Mexico City, including Baker & Mckenzie, S.C. and Lafan, Mues and Garay, S.C.
In 2007 he was invited to become partner in one of the most prestigious law firms in Los Cabos in real estate and corporate matters, for which he moved his residence to Los Cabos more than 15 years ago, offering since then high quality services to developers, hotels, condominiums, companies and buyers of high value real estate in Los Cabos’ area, the Riviera Maya and Mexico City.
In short, Luis has more than 30 years of experience advising international and national clients mainly in Mexico City and Los Cabos, but also in Loreto, La Paz, Tijuana, Riviera Maya, Careyes, Jalisco and Monterrey, in high-level transactions, both international and national, in real estate, corporate, mergers and acquisitions of companies, finance, foreign investment and others.
Luis has worked throughout his career with North American and Canadian clients, being able to serve them fluently in the English language.
MARIA FERNANDA DIAZ BARREIRO ROBINSON
Maria Fernanda has a Law Degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho (1993), with postgraduate studies in Commercial Law at the same Institution in 2003. She has more than 20 years of experience in the financial sector in areas of credit and trust operations (ABN AMRO BANK, BANCO BANSI, PROTEGO CASA DE BOLSA, S.A.), international companies (P&I Services Mexico) and prestigious corporate offices, including the firm Sanchez Mejorada, Velasco y Ribe, S.C.
Prior to founding A&DB Legal, she founded DB LAWS in 2015, dedicated to corporate matters and litigation.
Maria Fernanda has extensive experience in the preparation and negotiation of various commercial and common law contracts. She is an expert in Trusts, and handles foreign investment matters, corporate and financial law in general.
Maria Fernanda has worked for many years with international clients, being able to serve them fluently in English and/or French.
OCTAVIO ZAVALA MARTINEZ DE VELASCO
Octavio obtained a Law Degree from the Anahuac University (Mexico City). He has three specialization diplomas from Universidad Panamericana (Mexico City): Civil Law, Commercial Law and Civil and Commercial Procedural Law. He has recognized experience in commercial and civil litigation, as well as in amparo proceedings for said matters. His career is extensive in the attention of administrative procedures before the National Commission for the Protection and Defense of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF) and before the Federal Consumer Attorney’s Office (PROFECO). His professional experience also extends to drafting and negotiation of agreements. During his career as an attorney, he has had the opportunity to advise various leading companies as well as multiple individuals, understanding their needs and concerns.
MA DEL CARMEN ELORDUY MONTES
She is an attorney from Escuela Libre de Derecho. She has a master’s degree in Public Administration from Universidad Anahuac Mexico Norte, where she graduated Cum Laude, and has diplomas in college teaching and bioethics. She obtained the degree of Doctor in Public Administration, Summa Cum Laude from the Anahuac University in agreement with the Sorbonne University of Paris.
She is a consultant on international matters, human rights, migration and public policy. She developed the project for the implementation of the Coordination of Inclusion Policies of the Escuela Libre de Derecho where she served as its coordinator.
She is an associate of the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP). She is a professor at the Law Department of the Universidad Iberoamericana Campus Mexico City, where she teaches Public International Law and Cases Workshop. She has been a visiting professor in the Doctorate in Law at the Escuela Libre de Derecho and holder of the chairs of Comparative Politics in the Doctorate in Public Administration, North American Law in the master’s degree in Corporate Law, Theory of Public Administration, Human Rights and Fundamentals and Public International Law at the school of Law of Universidad Anahuac Mexico Norte, the latter is a subject that she taught for more than 20 years, being recognized on multiple occasions with the award for teaching excellence granted by that house of studies. She has also collaborated as a teacher in various diploma courses and master’s degrees taught by the Anahuac University as well as by the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Studies, the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation and the International Organization for Migration.
In the professional field, she has worked in Public Administration, such as the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City and the Ministry of Public Administration, as well as in various legal firms. She has published books and postes in specialized magazines on corruption, human rights, international justice, migration and public policy, likewise, she has been a speaker at various conferences and seminars.
